What is URAZ HOOPS

Training built around your game — not a generic program.

URAZ HOOPS is a basketball personal training business based in Vaughan, serving players across the GTA. Big team programs treat every player the same. We don't. Every athlete starts with a conversation about where their game is today and where they want it to go — then every session is designed to close that gap.

We coach youth players learning the fundamentals, teens preparing for school and rep tryouts, competitive players sharpening their edge, and adults who want to get better and stay in shape. Sessions run indoors year-round and outdoors through the warmer months, as 1-on-1 training or in groups.

Strength & Conditioning

Basketball-specific athleticism — speed, balance, strength, and endurance that translates directly to the court.

Clinics & Group Sessions

Larger themed sessions for teams, schools, and groups of friends. High energy, high reps, real coaching.

Training Focus

What we work on.

Eight areas of the game. Your plan focuses on the ones that move your game the most.

01

Ball Handling

Tighter handle under pressure — both hands, game speed.

02

Shooting

Repeatable mechanics, range, and confidence from anywhere.

03

Footwork

Balance, pivots, and first-step quickness that create space.

04

Finishing

Scoring through contact with either hand around the rim.

05

Defence

Stance, positioning, and the habits that earn minutes.

06

Basketball IQ

Reading the game — when to attack, pass, and move.

07

Conditioning

The engine to play hard in the fourth quarter, not just the first.

08

Game Performance

Turning practice skills into real production in real games.

Reviews

What players & parents say.

★★★★★
"Honestly didn't expect results this fast. My son went from barely touching the ball in games to being one of the more confident kids on his team. He actually wants to go to practice now, which says everything."
Daniela R.Parent of a U13 player · Vaughan
★★★★★
"Trained all summer before tryouts and made the high school team for the first time. Coach didn't let me slack but always broke things down so I understood why. My handle and my finishing are both way better."
Marcus T.Grade 10 player · Woodbridge
★★★★★
"I was nervous coming in, honestly. Out of shape, hadn't played in years. But the sessions just met me where I was. Six weeks later I'm back playing pickup and actually enjoying it."
Kevin A.Adult player · Maple
★★★★★
"She goes with two of her friends and the dynamic is great. They push each other, they're having fun, and she actually asks to go. For the price, I haven't found anything close in value."

FAQ

Questions, answered.

For parents and players. Don't see your question? Just ask.

What ages do you train?

We train youth players, teens, and adults. Sessions are adapted to the player's age and stage — a 9-year-old beginner and a 17-year-old competitive guard get very different workouts.

My child has never played before. Is that okay?

Absolutely. Beginners are some of our favourite athletes to coach — building fundamentals correctly from day one is the biggest head start a player can get. No experience required, just a willingness to work.

Where do sessions take place?

Indoor sessions run at courts in Vaughan year-round. Outdoor sessions run at parks and courts across Vaughan and the GTA during the warmer months. We'll confirm the exact location when you book.

What should my player bring to a session?

Basketball shoes, athletic clothing, and a water bottle. We bring the basketballs and training equipment. For outdoor sessions, dress for the weather.

Can parents watch the sessions?

Yes — parents are always welcome to watch. We want you to see exactly how your player trains and the progress they're making.

How do group sessions work? Can I bring friends?

Bring your own group of friends or teammates (the per-player rate drops as the group grows), or contact us and we'll match your player with others at a similar age and level.

How often should a player train?

Most players see strong progress with 1–2 sessions per week, paired with the at-home work we assign between sessions. We'll recommend a schedule based on your goals and season.
